The program is a series of 10 sessions over ten weeks in a group of business owners and managers. Most business owners have similar problems and the group dynamics allows for the sharing of problem solving ideas. You will work on your own business, however, at the same time be able to discuss solutions. No one has a monopoly on good ideas and we find that sharing can be a very effective way of working through potential solutions.

Your Complete Business Guide – Mapping Your Business
PURPOSE OF THE COURSE To prepare and assist business owners to write their own business plan.
OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE Participants will have developed a written business plan with daily action plans that will provide them a document on which to focus to enable achievement of their goals.
To motivate participants to see the value of completing a written business planning document with appropriate plans of action. They will be able to define their goals and the specific actions required for their subsequent achievement. Participants will develop an understanding that will enable them to review and prepare annual objectives and action plans that will provide a guide for them to successfully manage their business towards achieving their aims. This will provide them the controls and mechanism to ensure their daily actions and time management are in line with their desires.
METHODOLOGY A series of ten 2 hour sessions over a ten week period with a maximum of ten participants. This number allows for group dynamics whilst at the same time allowing for individual focus.
Participants will be work through their own work book it to end up having their own working planning document.
Many business owners have very few if anyone to share with. However, most have the same concerns and face the similar problems. Having the ability to discuss issues in a non threatening environment quite often results in finding a solution to problems.
Session 1
Introduce and reaffirm the -Purpose and objectives of the course and meet the other participants. As your business is the vehicle by which you achieve your desired lifestyle we will spend time calculating what you actually need from your business. This is the starting point to providing a goal for the business.
Session 2
Having calculated what is actually needed from the business we can now be more specific about the vision and mission for your business which will lead to profiling your staff to give a clear understanding of who is capable of the various tasks and roles.
Session 3
Looking at a summary of where your business is at the moment and what statistical data you maintain. This will enable to identify some shortfalls leading to some determination of what needs to be addressed.
Session 4
Now we have a better understanding of the business we can determine the core functions and tasks that need to be performed and the regularity of those functions.
Session 5
Here we will look at conducting a SWOT analysis. Analysing the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats enables us to focus on what we need to do to produce the desired results.
Session 6
We are now starting to get a much clearer understating of our business objectives and the personnel within the business, hence we can now set some key performance indicators by which our results can be measured. This will include setting your cash flow requirements.
Session 7
Having KPI’s will lead to setting strategy and action plans for the achievement of the desired objectives. That is deciding who will do what by when and how often to ensure performance is achieved. This will enable meaningful performance reviews.
Session 8
Drilling down through the action plans will lead to have specific daily activities and better time management plans. By now you will have a good understanding of what needs to be done to rum their business to achieve the results you want.
Session 9
Putting it all together – Review the progress to date and discuss as needed.
1. Do you know how much in dollar terms is needed to draw from the business for personal expenses and goals ?
2. Do you know how much income is needed to be generated from their business activities ?
3. Will the daily activities and action plans achieve that income ?
4. Do any alterations need to be made ?
Session 10
Complete the plan by reviewing each segment to ensure you are satisfied that you now have a format to follow towards achieving your goals.
